At Campbell Wealth Management, we create a sense of retirement certainty for our clients. Obviously, in personal finance, there will always be elements of unpredictability. Our process—honed over more than two decades of practical experience—is designed to give you confidence. We provide guidance to prospects as they navigate the financial path leading up to and during retirement. We then put together the strategic aspects of our clients’ portfolio management, including research, investment selection, asset allocation, and trading. We are active in meeting with our clients to help determine the appropriate portfolio guidelines for their broader financial plan.
Executive Team

Kelly Campbell, CFP®, ChFC®, CMFC®, AIF®
Kelly Campbell, Chairman and CEO of Campbell Wealth Management, has been in business for over 25 years. Nearly seventeen years ago the company began focusing specifically on retirement planning restricting its clientele to those aged fifty-five plus. In turn, the name Campbell Wealth Management has become synonymous with Retirement Planning in the Washington Metro area.
As an educator, Kelly has taught hundreds of seminars, classes, and workshops on retirement planning, estate planning, investment management, and life planning. He has taught thousands of baby boomers how to enjoy retirement. He is an energetic and knowledgeable speaker who teaches in a light-hearted and comical way utilizing stories and anecdotes to help his students learn.
A sought-after authority on everything retirement, Kelly has been quoted and/or has contributed to Fox Business, TheStreet.com, Fox 5 Local News, CNBC, The Washington Post, Kiplinger’s Magazine, and is a recurring blogger for the Smarter Investor on U.S. News & World Report. While Kelly has always said, “A successful retirement comes from proper planning,” this is pursued through his trademarked program, Right on Retirement™ (ROR.) ROR is Kelly’s five-step process that he and his team take all of their clients through to work towards their long-term success in retirement.
Kelly graduated from the University of Maryland with a degree in finance. A continuous student, he has achieved the following designations: Certified Financial Planner™, Chartered Financial Consultant™, Chartered Mutual Fund Counselor™, and Accredited Investment Fiduciary™.
When he is not helping his clients, Kelly focuses on his passions of boating, water, and snow skiing as well as spending time with his wife and three kids.

Kevin Knull
A sought-after speaker, Kevin has delivered thousands of educational presentations to over 200,000 financial professionals, individual investors, and companies globally. He has a talent for making some of the most complex topics simple and easy to understand. His book titled, “Exploring Advice”, continues to be a top resource for financial professionals whose goals are to improve the quality of their financial planning and advice.
Prior to joining Campbell Wealth, Kevin served in a variety of executive leadership roles in the financial services and financial technology industries including Hartford Financial, Symetra Financial, and Moneyguidepro. He is a graduate of the United States Coast Guard Academy and a third-generation veteran and served three tours in the service of our country as Commanding Officer on the USCGC POINT COUNTESS, First Lieutenant on the USCGC LEGARE, and Controller at USCG Atlantic Area. He is a Certified Financial Planner™.
The one word that you will hear Kevin focus on consistently is service. His vision is to deliver unparalleled service – which is very difficult to do. This vision is carried through at Campbell Wealth in every interaction, with every client, with every prospect, in every situation. When not caring for the firm’s clients and employees, Kevin spends his time with Kirsten, his wife of 25 years, three children, Hunter, Chase, and Scarlett, and two Dalmatians, Calvin and Hobbes. He is an avid kiteboarder, hiker, adventurer, skier, and will participate in any activity on, in, or under the water.

Kim Campbell
An integral part of Campbell Wealth Management since its inception, Kim is Kelly’s wife and business partner. Kim has over 20 years of financial experience. After graduating from the University of Maryland, Kim joined the public accounting firm of Deloitte and Touche in Washington DC. She then continued her experience by running the financial department of a publicly-traded company.
Kelly and Kim married in 1997, at which time Kim spent her time providing financial and business consulting to several small companies. While not working on the financial aspects of Campbell Wealth, Kim is busy raising their three children, Connor, Carter, and Codie. Kim’s passions are horseback riding, golfing, and spending time with her extended family.

Suly Salazar-Layton
As Chief Marketing Officer, Suly Salazar-Layton, is focused on communicating Campbell Wealth’s mission in reaching current and future clients to help them prepare for retirement. She is passionate about raising brand awareness through integrated marketing and education.
Suly leverages over 30 years in the financial services industry through a variety of domestic and international roles in Marketing, Operations, Risk, Business Development, and Compliance. Her career spans GE Capital, Genworth Financial, MoneyGuidePro, and Capital One. She cares deeply about helping people reach the retirement they want and has worked with thousands of financial professionals on connecting with women and couples. Suly has been quoted in the New York Times, AM Best, NAFA and other industry publications, and has been a presenter for top financial professional conferences.
A graduate of Yale University, Suly serves as the Alumni School Committee Director for the Yale Club of Richmond. She is a native of Colombia and volunteers with Hispanic serving community organizations. Suly is passionate about helping high school students learn to communicate in multicultural settings. She loves traveling and spending time with her family, dog, and cats.

Meghan Lusk, CFP®
Meghan serves as the Director of Wealth Management and provides financial planning and investment analysis, research, and support to clients. She has found a passion helping clients reach their goals leading up to and during retirement. Meghan is eager to serve our clients and looks forward to working with you!
Meghan holds the coveted CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional designation and is an active member of the Financial Planning Association. She continues her professional development by attending continued education classes to remain current with her designation.
Meghan is a graduate of Virginia Tech with a BS in finance and marketing management. She currently resides in DC in the U Street neighborhood enjoying everything the city has to offer. She is a big fan of the Washington Capitals and enjoys spending time with her family, who live close by in Northern Virginia.

Denise Ramsey
As Director of Client Service, Denise and her team work collaboratively with our Wealth Management teams to ensure our clients’ financial planning and investment needs are met. She is passionate about providing excellent client service and creating the best client experience possible.
Denise has spent over 25 years in operational management supporting both national and local firms in the financial and banking sectors, as well as 10 years in small business ownership. She began her finance career locally as a licensed Series 7 Registered Representative, followed by positions with the Investment Company Institute, GMAC Commercial Mortgage, and the Rushmore Funds/FBR National Bank as Vice President of Transfer Agent Operations. Prior to joining Campbell Wealth, Denise was the Director of Operations at another wealth management firm in Northern Virginia.
Denise holds a bachelor’s degree in Economics from Muhlenberg College in Allentown, PA. She is involved in her community as a member of the Young Men’s Service League (with her son, Jacob) and as a volunteer with Food for Neighbors, a non-profit helping to feed local students and their families when away from school. She and her husband, Dave, are parents to three children, Trey, Jordan, and Jacob. When she’s not traveling around to her youngest son’s sporting events, she’s happily playing her own – she enjoys tennis, skiing, hiking, and boating.

Rich Clement, CFP®
Rich Clement, a graduate of the University of Virginia, is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ Professional, with more than two decades of experience in the financial services industry. Over the years, he has assisted hundreds of clients by helping them identify their goals and objectives and encouraging them to take action to work toward those goals. He knows what works and what doesn’t work when it comes to achieving financial confidence and independence. He firmly believes that financial success starts with a realistic vision combined with consistent action – regular communication and advisor consultation will keep everything on the right track.
Rich is the son of a U.S. Army officer and traveled the world before settling in the Alexandria area and eventually marrying his high school sweetheart. They have four children, ages 17 to 26, and have thoroughly enjoyed the hours and miles spent in support of their children’s activities. Now that driving duties are complete, Richard enjoys spending time with his wife, Laura, and exercising through the CrossFit fitness program.

Tyler Frech, CFP®
Tyler is on our Wealth Management Team. Tyler has over 20 years of experience advising high-net-worth families on their finances. His experience includes working as an Investment Strategist for a large trust company and as a District Manager for a large Insurance Company.
Tyler graduated from Hamilton College and is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™. He has the series 7, 63, 65, and his insurance license.
He enjoys travel, hiking, and is a huge Saint Louis Cardinals baseball fan.
Tyler has coached football, baseball, basketball, and soccer. He supports the Gates Foundation and Capital Area Food Bank. He has also been a guest speaker and mentor at Old Dominion University.

Rick Baray, CFA, CFP®, MBA
Rick is a Wealth Manager and has over 10 years of experience working with a diverse clientele including retirees and business professionals. More recently he served as a Private Client Advisor for a large Fortune 500 company, advising clients with complex financial and investment planning needs.
Rick earned his CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ designation in 2012 and has recently earned his Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) program, the highest distinction in the investment management profession. He also earned his Chartered Life Underwriter designation in 2015, specializing in insurance planning for families and business owners. Rick recently spent two years living in Spain, where he completed his MBA and Master in Finance degrees. He is a Southern California native and graduated from San Diego State University with his Bachelor’s degree in personal financial planning.
Rick currently resides in Northeast Washington with his two french bulldogs, Don Juan and Pablo. Rick is fluent in Spanish and has conversational skills in American Sign Language.

Frances Fang
Frances joined Campbell Wealth Management in September of 2022 as a Wealth Manager. Frances has focused on comprehensive financial planning for over a decade, seamlessly combining her technical skills with her passion for building meaningful relationships through every client engagement.
Frances serves her clients with insight, empathy, and integrity and, in particular, understands the challenges and financial needs of women in transition, families, individuals with international planning needs, and those who are part of the Sandwich Generation.
Frances holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Loyola University Maryland with a concentration in accounting. She also earned an Executive Certificate in Financial Planning from Georgetown University.
Frances lived and worked as an expatriate in Shanghai for many years and is fluent in Mandarin Chinese. Currently, Frances resides in Bethesda, MD, and enjoys spending time with family and friends and traveling/exploring new cities and countries.

Nathan Blumenschein
In his role, Nathan is responsible for assisting clients with new account openings, transfers, distribution requests, scheduling review appointments, and following up with resolutions. He looks forward to providing an outstanding experience for our clients.
In his free time, Nathan enjoys spending time with friends and family, trips to the dog park with his family Bernedoodle, Charlie. He also enjoys spending time outside at one of the many sports fields in DC or NOVA playing soccer, football, softball or Aussie Rules Footy.

Braxton Good
Braxton joined Campbell Wealth in 2021 and serves as our Client Services Coordinator. Braxton works directly with the Wealth Management Team and supports the needs of our clients. He is here to ensure that every client has a wonderful experience.
Braxton received a B.A. in Economics and Business from the Virginia Military Institute. He lives in Falls Church, Virginia with his wife, two daughters, and two dogs. Braxton enjoys spending time with his family, grilling, and watching baseball.

Clay Holden
Clay joined Campbell Wealth Management as a Client Service Associate in January 2022. Growing up in Wichita, Kansas moving to the NOVA area in 2017 to work construction was a huge change. In 2018, he decided to attend school and enrolled in classes at Northern Virginia Community College and then transferred to George Mason University at the start of 2020. He majored in their brand-new Financial Planning and Wealth Management program and became the first graduate from George Mason University with that degree in December of 2021. Clay’s goal is to pursue additional certifications and designations in financial planning, so that he can better serve our clients.
In his role as a Client Service Associate, Clay is responsible for assisting clients with new account openings, transfers, distribution requests, scheduling review appointments, and following up with resolutions. He is enthusiastic about getting to know our clients and looks forward to building a strong relationship along the way.

Zandile Jera
Zandile joined CWM in February of 2022 as a Client Service Associate. Zandile’s career has been centered around financial services and relationship management including servicing retirement investment assets and working in the wealth management field.
Zandile was born in Harare, Zimbabwe, and moved to Indianapolis, IN in her teens, and she considers Indianapolis her US home. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics from St. Thomas University – Fredericton New Brunswick and a Certificate in Accounting from Prince George’s Community College.
When Zandile is not assisting clients, she is an active member of St. Philip the Apostle Catholic Church in Camp Springs, MD, and enjoys spending her leisure time with her daughter exploring beach towns and attending festivals. Martin Kangah
Martin joined the Campbell Wealth team in March of 2022 and serves as our Client Service Associate. He is responsible for assisting clients with new account openings, transfers, distribution requests, scheduling review appointments, and following up with resolutions.
He is a native to the DMV growing up in Prince Georges County MD. He graduated in May of 2020 from Towson University with a Bachelor of Science in Finance and Marketing. Martin comes to Campbell Wealth with 4 years of experience in the financial services industry and is pursuing additional certifications and designations in financial planning to better serve our clients.
In his free time, Martin enjoys spending time with family and friends. He is a fitness and video game enthusiast. His favorite sport is football and his favorite team is the Green Bay Packers.

Connor Becton
In his free time, Connor likes to spend time with his Siberian Husky named Blue, play poker with friends, watch a variety of sports, and more recently has become an avid golfer. His favorite football team is the Las Vegas Raiders and his favorite NBA team is the Milwaukee Bucks.

Mark Wagner, CFA®
Mark has 20 years of investment management experience working with high-net-worth and institutional investment clients. Mark holds the Chartered Financial Analyst ™ (CFA) designation, the industry’s most respected designation for investment management professionals. He has held positions as a Research Analyst, Director of Research, and Portfolio Manager. These positions include experience with several large bank trust investment divisions including National City Bank, Fifth Third Bank, and Wintrust Financial, as well as a leading mutual fund company, Liberty Funds Group, and an ultra-high-net-worth family office, Bass Brother Trading. Mark has also worked as a Client Advisor with Wells Fargo Advisors and Merrill Lynch. Through his experience, Mark has refined his skills in constructing investment portfolios appropriate to client goals and risk tolerances.
Mark is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin and holds a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in accounting and finance and a Master of Science (MS) in finance. While outside of the office, Mark enjoys spending time with his seven-year-old children, Nathan and Lauren, and wife Kathy.

Brandon Cawley
Brandon is a graduate of Virginia Tech with a Bachelor of Science in Finance and holds the distinguished Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation. He currently resides in Falls Church with his daughter, Kennedy, and wife, Tessa. He is originally from Southeast Virginia and loves to spend time on the water with his family.

David Gao
David is Campbell Wealth’s Trade and Investments Associate. He is a recent graduate from the University of Utah, with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Finance. He has four years of experience in Asset Management, embedding the principles and advantages of both discretionary and systematic strategies to provide insights into data-driven thematic equity plays. David also has experience with systematic risk management and portfolio asset allocation, using macroeconomic and statistical factors to determine geographic concentration, equity, and volatility exposure.
David’s pastimes include motorsports, especially Formula 1, E-Sports, Hiking, and Skiing with the greatest snow on earth (Utah).

Evan Beach, CFP®, AWMA®
Evan is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional and the Director of Wealth Advisory at Campbell Wealth Management. His team is responsible for new-client financial planning and existing-client education.
A native of Bethesda, MD, Evan has spent almost his entire life in the capital region. He currently lives in Old Town, Alexandria, with his wife Ali, daughter Viv, and dog Tenley. Ali is a kindergarten teacher at St. Stephen’s & St. Agnes School in Alexandria and was an All-American field hockey goalie, helping the University of Maryland win three national titles. While not nearly as athletically gifted as his wife, Evan grew up playing competitive soccer and continues to play in adult leagues in the District.
At the age of 26, Evan earned his CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ certification from the College for Financial Planning, becoming one of only 3.3% of CFP® practitioners in their twenties as of May 31, 2015, as determined by the CFP® Board. He is a graduate of the University of Delaware, the College for Financial Planning, and Georgetown University.
Evan is well-known in the industry for his experience in retirement income and tax planning as well as practice management. He is a contributing columnist for Kiplinger and the Journal of Financial Planning. Evan has conducted more than 500 live retirement planning sessions and currently serves as a special topics instructor at Texas Tech University’s undergraduate and graduate personal financial planning programs. Evan is a frequent contributor and has been published on Yahoo Finance, CNBC, Credit.com, TheStreet.com, Bloomberg, and U.S. News and World Report, among others.

Jake Rawlings, CFP®
Jake serves as a Wealth Advisor and offers a comprehensive approach to retirement planning. He provides guidance to prospects as they navigate the financial path leading up to and during retirement. He is always striving to help our prospects work toward an optimal financial future.
Jake is a graduate of the University of Maryland with a Bachelor of Science in economics. He holds the prestigious CFP® (Certified Financial Planner) designation from Georgetown University, in addition to life and health insurance licenses and securities licenses 7, 63, and 65. He continues to keep up-to-date with market and legislative changes that can influence the planning process for his clients.

Betsy Hanson
Betsy has over 25 years of experience in client service and administration. For the last 5 years, Betsy’s focus has been in the financial services industry. Betsy earned a degree in business administration from the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh.
As a military spouse, she has lived and worked in Denver, California, Hawaii, China, and now lives in Maryland with her husband and two sons. Betsy enjoys traveling, reading a good book, gardening, cooking, and spending time with friends and family.

Melanie Bennett
Melanie received her bachelor’s degree in Speech Language Science and Technology from Northern Arizona University and her Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion certification from Cornell University. She is married to a career United States Marine and together they have one daughter. Melanie enjoys traveling, reading, cooking, and spending time with family and friends.

Ben Hanson
Ben joined Campbell Wealth in March 2017 and started in our New Client Transition Department as a Transition Associate. Ben quickly proved to be a valuable addition to the team by leveraging technology to improve efficiency and accuracy. As a result of his accomplishments, Ben was promoted to Tech Liaison in December 2021, providing leadership and guidance in our technology platform and identifying other ways to enable our teams to deliver exceptional services to our clients.
Ben lives in King George, VA with his wife and their children. He enjoys tinkering, cooking, gardening, gaming with his boys, and listening to audiobooks.

Gina Doerr
Gina Doerr is the First Impressions Specialist at Campbell Wealth Management. Prior to joining our team, she worked for the Girl Scouts of the Nation’s Capital as a Customer Care Administrative Coordinator. Gina is passionate about helping people, solving problems, and providing quality service to all clientele.
Gina is a graduate of James Madison University, where she received a Bachelor of Arts degree in English. She lives in Alexandria, VA and is an avid reader. Gina also enjoys watching her large collection of classic films and NFL football.

Felicia Porter
She attended Northern Virginia Community College and has over 25+years of experience in Finance, Administration, and Customer Service, making her a great addition to the CWM team!
Still very much a proud Jersey Girl, she now considers herself a Virginia “transplant” due to the many years she and her family have lived in the DC Metropolitan area.
She loves spending time with her close-knit family, visiting museums, and is passionate about volunteer work, being most proud of her family’s work with young adults with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD).

Crystal Shaw
Crystal Shaw is the Executive Assistant to the President of Campbell Wealth Management Kevin Knull. She is a self-proclaimed organizational guru that focuses on the client experience and has a true passion for helping others. Crystal grew up with a servant’s heart which led her to work for the Baltimore County Office of Environmental Protection and Sustainability for 10 years before moving into the finance industry. She held series 7 and 66 licenses before taking a break to grow her family.
Crystal is a military spouse and moved to Alexandria from Colorado Springs to join Campbell Wealth Management with her husband Steve, their two little girls Grace and Ella, and their lovable dogs Maverick and Alice.
Crystal grew up in Pennsylvania and lived in Baltimore for over ten years. Her hobbies include painting, design, skiing and snowboarding, yoga, glamping, and anything at the beach. She loves to travel and most recently enjoyed a trip to Paris with her husband Steve.
