Founder and CEO

Kelly Campbell, founder and CEO of Campbell Wealth Management, has been in business for over 25 years. Nearly fifteen years ago the company began focusing specifically on retirement planning restricting its clientele to those age fifty-five plus. In-turn, the name Campbell Wealth Management has become synonymous with Retirement Planning in the Washington Metro area.

As an educator, Kelly has taught hundreds of seminars, classes and workshops on retirement planning, estate planning, investment management and life planning. He has taught thousands of baby boomers how to enjoy retirement.  He is an energetic and knowledgeable speaker who teaches in a light hearted and comical way utilizing stories and anecdotes to help his students learn.

Kim Campbell

Chief Financial Officer

An integral part of Campbell Wealth Management since its inception, Kim is Kelly’s wife and business partner. Kim has over 20 years of financial experience. After graduating from University of Maryland, Kim joined the public accounting firm of Deloitte and Touche in Washington DC. She then continued her experience by running the financial department of a publicly traded company. Kelly and Kim married in 1997, at which time Kim spent her time providing financial and business consulting to several small companies. While not working on the financial aspects of Campbell Wealth, Kim is busy raising their three children, Connor, Carter and Codie. Kim’s passions are horseback riding and golfing, and spending time with her extended family.

Rich Clement, CFP®

Director of Financial Planning and Risk Management

Rich Clement, a graduate of the University of Virginia, is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ Professional, with more than two decades of experience in the financial services industry. Over the years, he has assisted hundreds of clients by helping them identify their goals and objectives and encouraging them to take action to work towards those goals. He knows what works and what doesn’t work when it comes to achieving financial confidence and Independence. He firmly believes that financial success starts with a realistic vision combined with consistent action – regular communication and advisor consultation will keep everything on the right track.

Rich is the son of a U.S. Army officer and traveled the world before settling in the Alexandria area and eventually marrying his high school sweetheart. They have four children, ages 17 to 26, and have thoroughly enjoyed the hours and miles spent in support of their children’s activities. Now that driving duties are complete, Richard enjoys spending time with his wife Laura, training for the Army 10 Miler in October and exercising through the CrossFit fitness program.

Mark Wagner, CFA®

Portfolio Manager

Mark has 20 years of investment management experience working with high net worth and institutional investment clients.  Mark holds the Chartered Financial Analyst ™ (CFA) designation, the industry’s most respected designation for investment management professionals.  He has held positions as a Research Analyst, Director of Research and Portfolio Manager.  These positions include experience with several large bank trust investment divisions including National City Bank, Fifth Third Bank, and Wintrust Financial, as well as a leading mutual fund company, Liberty Funds Group, and an ultra-high net worth family office, Bass Brother Trading.  Mark has also worked as a Client Advisor with Wells Fargo Advisors and Merrill Lynch.  Through his experience, Mark has refined his skills in constructing investment portfolios appropriate to client goals and risk tolerances.

Mark is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin and holds a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in Accounting and Finance, and a Master of Science (MS) in Finance. While outside of the office, Mark enjoys spending time with his seven year old children, Nathan and Lauren, and wife Kathy.

Betsy Hanson

Director of Operations

Betsy has over 25 years of experience in client service and administration. For the last 5 years Betsy’s focus has been in the financial services industry. Betsy earned a degree in Business Administration from the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh.

As a military spouse she has lived and worked in Denver, California, Hawaii, China and now lives in Maryland with her husband and two sons. Betsy enjoys travelling, reading a good book, gardening, cooking and spending time with friends and family.

Evan Beach, CFP®, AWMA®

Wealth Manager

Evan is a graduate of the University of Delaware’s school of Business and Economics.

He got his start in the Wealth Management industry straight out of school with ING Financial Partners. In 2014 he was the number one ranked advisor of 240 at McAdam based on revenue.  After spending six years with the same firm, Evan joined Campbell Wealth Management in 2015.

Evan is known for his knowledge of the planning issues that arise in retirement including Social Security. He has instructed classes throughout the Capital region on these topics.  Much of his time is spent helping recent widows and widowers with financial planning issues.  Evan is frequent contributor and has been published on Yahoo Finance, CNBC, Credit.com, TheStreet.com, Bloomberg, U.S. News and World Report, amongst others.

Making further education a priority, at the age of 26, Evan earned his CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ certification becoming one of only 3.3% of CFP® practitioners in their 20’s as of 5/31/15 as named by the CFP® Board. He has an executive certificate in Financial Planning from Georgetown University and is an Accredited Wealth Management Advisor- An industry designation awarded to those with specific planning knowledge for high net worth individuals and small businesses.

Evan is actively involved in the financial planning community.  He is a member of the Financial Planning Association, National Capital Area.  When he isn’t working with clients, Evan loves playing soccer and traveling internationally.  He lives on Capitol Hill, with his wife, Ali, and dog, Tenley.

Tyler Frech, CFP®

Client Relationship Manager

Tyler is on our client services team. Tyler has over 25 years of experience advising high net worth families on their finances. His experience includes working as an Investment Strategist for a large trust company and as a Financial Planner for a registered investment advisor.

Tyler graduated from Hamilton College and is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™. He also holds his Series 65 registration and insurance licenses.

He enjoys spending time with his family and is a huge Saint Louis Cardinals baseball fan.

He volunteers for the Arthritis Foundation and American Cancer Society. He has also been a guest speaker and mentor at Old Dominion University.

Melissa Voight, CFP®, ChFC®, CDFA™

Client Relationship Manager

Melissa is our new Client Relationship Manager. She has over 20 years’ experience working with families striving to grow and preserve wealth as a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ practitioner.

Melissa graduated from Dowling College with a BBA in Management and Leadership. She holds several financial designations as a life-long commitment to education about finance.

Mel is also a Divorce Financial Analyst; certified to assist in the equitable separation of family assets and income using the traditional participation model.

She is a board member of the McLean Estate Planning Council.

Mel is an avid runner who lives in Arlington with her teenage son and has a daughter that attends the University of Virginia.

Aleta Mellon, MBA

Client Services Specialist

Aleta comes to Campbell Wealth with 25+ years of experience in the financial services industry. Early in her career, she earned her MBA in Finance and achieved multiple professional licenses.

In her role as Client Services Specialist, Mellon manages a variety of responsibilities, including: preparations for client review meetings, and assisting in maintaining and enhancing client relationships.

She has various types of experience assisting clients in planning and working towards their financial goals. Aleta has held numerous positions during her career, notably, in retail banking and serving as a Financial Advisor with independent firms and multinational corporations. Mellon is committed to helping others understand the principles of financial management. She regularly presents educational seminars, teaches money management classes and offers her expertise in her volunteer work with churches and other non-profit organizations.

She has a passion for people and enjoys travelling around the world and experiencing other cultures. Aleta is a native of Virginia, but now resides in Maryland with her two sons, Matthew and Brenden, and their Schnauzer, Mylo.

Kelly Miller (K.J.)

Senior Client Services Associate

K.J. comes to Campbell Wealth Management with nearly 20 years of experience in the financial services industry.   She attended Morgan State University and has earned several professional licenses.   Before joining CWM, K.J. spent six years at Oppenheimer & Co. Inc. as a Senior Financial Associate providing full administrative support and serving as the client liaison.

Her professional background includes establishing client service models, stock option administration, estate and trust evaluations, and event planning.

K.J. resides in Maryland with her two daughters, Amber and Jade.  She is a die-hard Washington Redskins fan and active Girl Scout mom.  She also participates in the women’s ministry at her church.

K.J. strives to create a concierge-like client experience.

Barbara Mulvey, ChFC®

Client Services Associate

Barbara joined Campbell Wealth in January 2017 as a Client Services Associate. Barbara comes to Campbell Wealth with 25+ years of experience in the financial services industry. She spent most of her career in banking and for the past 14 years as a Private Banker with BB&T. At BB&T she earned several professional licenses and the Chartered Financial Consultant designation.

In her role as Client Services Associate, Barbara is responsible for assisting clients with any paperwork procedures, new account implementation and processing. Barbara also assists clients with operational issues such as, online access, account documentation and distributions.

Barbara lives in Springfield with her husband, Patrick and their Bichon Frise, Barney. She enjoys cooking, reading and outdoor activities, such as biking and hiking.

Ben Hanson

Transitions Specialist

Ben joined Campbell Wealth in March 2017, and works in our New Client Transition Department as a Transition Specialist. In that role, Ben assists new clients with any paperwork procedures, new account implementation and processing.

Ben lives in King George with his new wife, Krista and their son Zachary. He enjoys cooking, listening to audiobooks, and fishing.

Mirela Tsai

Marketing Associate

Mirela Tsai serves as Marketing Associate, responsible for developing marketing initiatives to effectively communicate with our clients and community. Mirela is responsible for development and execution of the annual marketing plan, with a focus on marketing, event management and project management. She is dedicated to both the short and long term goals of the firm and strictly focuses on the success of each initiative. She has an eager drive to learn and is focused on understanding the big picture, while also considering the intricate details.

Mirela is dedicated to propelling all of the marketing initiatives forward and is very hands on when it comes to projects. Mirela is personable and outgoing which has created a comfortable environment for our clients and staff. She is working to create a procedural structure which will help establish brand awareness and highlight our dedication to our clients.

Mirela is a graduate of Indiana University of Pennsylvania, where she received a Bachelor of Science in Marketing. She is an avid volleyball player and a frequent participant in charity runs. She enjoys spending time with her husband, Vince, family and two dogs, Cody and Chase.

Amanda Larkin

Marketing Associate/Event Planner

Amanda studied Communications at Old Dominion University with a focus in Marketing. She will be planning and managing our Seminars and Marketing efforts.

Amanda is a Virginia native who enjoys cooking and spending time with her dog, Akira.

Ali Punderson

First Impressions Specialist

Ali came to us from Silicon Valley in Northern California where she was a receptionist at Apple headquarters.   Ali earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Public Health at Brigham Young University.

Being a first timer on the east coast, Ali is excited for the sites, landmarks, and new adventures it will bring. She is passionate about health and nutrition and lives in Alexandria with her husband Josh.
